Yeah, he woke up soon after I took the picture and scratched and groomed himself for a while. He had flown off by 6:50. It was fully dark by then.

That is SO cool. I have been waiting patiently for bats, I have a bat house, but they are sticking to the magnolia tree for now. I take Xander outside in the evenings to watch them fly out....I love bats.

I'm surrounded by bats. As long as they don't touch me I think they are pretty cool creatures.

Any place but in my space ! Had bad experiences as a youngster with them... not to mention the one that came down our frieplace in MI !

I like bats. I see them at night sometimes, but never so close. They are scared of my cats and dogs, I suspect.

My kids go out all the time and throw a sock with sand in it up in the air and try to get the bats to catch it and fall with it.

I dont know why- and their reason for trying to catch a bat? same as trying to catch or having caught a cardinal, bluejay, buzzard, snake, mole, armadillo, deer, possum, etc.

They aint real bright.

I told mine if you put Salt on a birds tail he will be nice to your forever, ........it keeps them occupied and salt is cheap.
