sugar hangover?
I'm suprised and dismayed at the lact of communication today... did y'all eat too much candy?
We had a wonderful parade of trick & treaters... 66, to be exact (not to mention the parents who we handed out dark chocolates too... mini pretzel bags for the youngins)... weather was cooperative, and although the moon wasn't totally full, sure looked like it.
One of my neighbors (the husband) took a picture of Chuck and I, wife Mai & Saki (aka Minnie Mouse), and for the life of me, I don't know how to upload to photobucket... I get to the site, see all my current albums, but just not the link to upload a photo :-(

Re: sugar hangover?
NO sugar hangover for me... I gave out mini bags of pretzels... and gave out dark wrapped dark chocolates to adults who wanted "dark".. was happy to see many did... it's a good health thing!,.... then spent today walking (3.5 miles) in the hood and spent the afternoon gardening... still so much to do before winter really comes upon us!

Re: sugar hangover?
No sugar hangover here either.
We had chips to give out but there were no takers.
I guess we will have to eat them ourselves.

The movie didn't start till after midnite, and it is about 3 hours long....We do it just about every year, in a field, pasture, whatever...it's a blast.
Trust me, I did as much work as he did, measuring, cutting, nailing...thankful for my nail gun.

Re: sugar hangover?
We had like 2 trick or treaters...then had to leave. SIL was up from Portland and we went to have dinner at my SIL's that lives in town. We left the candy bowl on the porch with a sign to take some, but there weren't too many takers. We live far out of town and usually only get less than 5 anyway. I haven't been on here today at all. My husband and I got to work in the house. He put up about 75% of the ceiling moulding in the livingroom and did a great job I might add. He's never done moulding before, so I was suprised and delighted that he did such a great job. JJ and I started back in on the guest bathroom and took apart and removed the old bathroom vanity and I did some more plastering. I will start primering on the walls that are ready and then do some hand sanding on the plastered parts tomorrow.

Re: sugar hangover?
We've been out of town all weekend. My SIL and her family were visiting at Scott's mom's. My SIL is 9 weeks pregnant and this is the first that we've seen her since finding out. Sadly she's got bad morning sickness (at night!) so she wasn't up for much visiting, but it was nice to see my neice and nephew.
Today Caly and I went over to my mom's house to visit with my side of the family. We had lunch with them and then I helped my dad set up their new TV and CD player while Caly raked leaves for them. They paid her so that she could earn money for an upcoming class trip, but I was happy that she worked so hard to earn the money and didn't try to take advantage of them.

Re: sugar hangover?
A friend of mine tried an experiment... had a large bowl of candies... with some groups, she'd say "take all you want" and the kids would grab handfulls, and with some groups, she'd say "takewhat you need" and the'yd take one or two pieces, interesting
