Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm a few days late on this and have already met some wonderful folks on here. I will apologize ahead of time for any silly questions. I don't talk on boards a lot so I'm not familiar with many terms.

I'm a 39 y/o retired EMS chief in Maine. I used to run 911 EMS as career on a 24/48 schedule. Since I've been getting older and I have 2 very young children, I've found staying up for 24 straight and still being able to function with any sense of normalcy ...

How high of a temp is too high? My 16yr old daughter has been running a temp since yesterday and I have been giving her Motrin to bring the fever down. I called the ER nurse last night and told her what her temp had been running (the highest it got was 103.9) the nurse didn't seem the least bit concerned. She said that if she were me, that she would stick it out for a couple more hours to see if her temp went down. Well it did, this morning it was normal, but tonight I just took it about 40 ...

Going off the crafty thread... I'd love to see what everyone has done and get some great ideas for more crafts!!

Here's some of what I've done:

baby blanket

fabric appliques...

Headbands I made for my niece. The headband is made out of nylon pantyhose. I now just do the flowers instead for my girls' hair.

decorating at church functions.... this was more of the tree branches that were set in plaster of paris then spray ...

I admit it, I've turned into a real MyPoints whore. I have placed 2 Lancome orders that I never would have if it hadn't offered so many points(2,000 for one and 2,500 for the other). And Overstock.com is high on my list of shops to look at first - it pays 10 points per dollar and the shipping fee is practically nonexistant. I needed a summerweight blanket for our bed and ordered 2 books and Bam! An easy 620 points. Yes, they're pending, but I'm all over them as soon as they clear.

No, I'm not talking about Rebecca this time. Who watches the Mole, and who do you think it is? I'm thinking Clay for some reason. I don't have any particular reason, though, it's just a hunch. I know on the finale they always show the subtle clues we should have seen to figure out who it was, but I always miss those.

I'm having my hysterectomy on July 14th if everything goes as planned.

My doctor does a new procedure that is minimally invasive.

The surgery will be done in "day surgery" and I should be back on my feet in one week.

This morning Caly was talking about statues, and being so close to the fourth of July, the topic shifted to war memorials. Kentucky has one of the most beautiful and sad memorials I've ever heard about and I thought I'd like to share it with you guys, just because.

I guess 7 really is the bottom less pit. I think everyone is going to be a sweet bee by end of summer. That is not much fun if we all level out. I wish they would get things figured out so we have something to look forward to or work towards.

A top 100 or something.

I think level 7 sould be a sweat bee because of the hard work and sweat it will take to get there and the 1st person there should be the queen bee!

a place to buy a cheap cell phone without having to get a contract, the phone also needs to be compatable with T-Mobile.. Basically I have t-mobile prepaid and want a different phone. The only phones that they offer for pre-paid are kinda ugly, the other ones they have are great, but you have to pay out the a$$ if you don't get a contract with them. Anyone know some good places to look? (I am talking under $70.00 if possible)but even cheaper would be so much better. I know I'm expecting miracles ...

OK, don't be scared. "Souffle" is very loosely used here. This is so easy your children could make it. It's beloved by all and is an excellent accompaniment to ham, especially. It's a must for Easter dinner. Very rich!

Pineapple Souffle

1/2 Cup Butter

1 Cup Sugar

4 Eggs

16 oz. Can Crushed Pineapple, drained

5 slices White Bread, cubed

I have signed up with the Big Sisters Big Brother Program, and today I am meeting my Little Sister. She is 6 years old and she lives with her grandparents.

I plan to take her to the park and have a mini- picnic and then we are going to fly a kite, and for a plan B in the event that the kite doesn't work. We are going to play with water balloons.. Not a fight mind you, my brother advised against that. We are going to simply toss them into the air.

I was just online looking for a CHEAP comforter set, preferably something that goes along with a princess theme.

My son must be watching daddy...

2 x's today he has gone into the fridge and as I walked in, caught him drinking out of cartons. He knows to tell me when he is thirsty, and I will pour him a glass.

I took one picture earlier of him drinking the Minute Maid, but just a few minutes ago, I caught him drinking out of the milk gallon. He ended up with milk all over his shirt and the floor. And I just got back from the store, and didn't get milk, thinking what we had would last another ...

But, I noticed the very first pending date stamped 8-01-08 is from Bzz AGent for 30 points.

Now I haven't done anything at Bzz Agent to earn 30 points that I'm aware of, especially not in the last 48 hours. Last I got from them was 50 MP for a report.

So any quess as to what these 30 Pending Bzz My Points resulted from?

I mean, I'm thankful for any points I can earn cause ...

I have been going back and forth with mypoints... they jipped me 550 points for signing up for ING. I did it THROUGH the bonus email link- they say? I didn't. I was extra sure I did it that way because of the back and forth one of the members here posted. I can see the clickthrough I got 5 points but the 545 for following through on the offer never showed. I waited the 30 days and now they say I can't have the points.... I keep getting the same form email as a response. Oh and they keep telling ...

Cake to die for

Bake a chocolate cake as directed in a 9 by 13 pan. While hot, poke holes all over the surface of the cake. Mix one can of sweetened condensed milk and a half bottle of Carmel ice cream topping. Pour this over the cake. Set in fridge to cool. When cool, frost with whipped cream or cool whip and garnish with chocolate curls and a drizzle of Carmel. Keep in fridge. My grandkids think this has to be made weekly and just for them. Its kinda like a death by chocolate!!
