Thanks to the awesome tech support at Forumotion I think I can safely say that UB is fully operational again! I have to admit that they were faster than I expected. Thanks to the tech department and to Kirk for troubleshooting with me tonight!

Glitch with Boards

Looks like there's a glitch right now that won't let anyone make any new posts -- I even had to edit an old post to create this one! The techs are on it and I'm hoping it will be fixed soon. Sorry everyone!

Unofficial Bzz May Be Down for a Short Time Tonight

I think I've got it worked out so that I can quickly change the look of UB to minimize any downtime, but wanted to give you all a heads up just in case. I'm not going to fool around with it too much until my kids are in bed though -- I definately don't need too much help!

It looks like the chat box is working again! Maybe we'll be having a birthday party after all!
I'm also working on changing the look of the site a bit. If I can get things the way I want them (or close to it) it might look a bit different around here in the coming weeks.

Can I ask a small favour from everyone? I don't really know how to word this without making it sound like I'm telling people what to say so I hope no one takes this the wrong way. I know that it's kind of been one of the jokes around here to spam the Bee Log with our addy and I'm as guilty (if not more) as anyone, but can we please leave it out of the lay off thread messages? There are people whose lives are completely changed today and I think it would be more appropriate to let them know that ...

A Few Small Updates

I added a few things tonight. One is that if you entered your birthday into your profile it will now appear in the "Who's Online" box at the bottom of the homepage when it's 7 days or less away. I also added a feature that will allow you to enter your BzzAgent level or any smart remarks you have about it just below your avatar (you can see mine over there <-----). To add your's just look in your profile, add the info in the new box and remember to hit save! I also tried ...

Since we've got a couple of members who have recently found out they're expecting we thought we should celebrate! Festivities start June 19 around 9 PM in the Chat Box at the bottom of the home page. It's BYOB unless you're one of the pregnant ladies, then it's BYOJ (Bring Your Own Juice).

I was just on the help boards trying to figure out why the board has been a bit hit or miss today. We are definately not the only board with problems! It looks like they're working on the servers, but hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

There seems to be some sort of problem with new accounts all of the sudden. It's happening at all of the boards hosted here. Tech services has been made aware of the problem. Please be patient and keep trying. I'll get this fixed as soon as possible! I've opened up the Welcome board and the Chit Chat board so that you can post there now as guests. Has everyone noticed the "Messages" tab at the top of their page yet? I was just looking through my outbox and realized that there are a whole lot of you that have mail and may not even realize it! Go ahead and take a look -- I promise it's nothing bad!
There are also some settings in your profile that will allow you to have a pop up notify you when you receive a PM and/or an email that will notify you of one as well.
