The Twilight DVD went on sale at midnight last night.
DH had to put it out before he left work, I guess there was quite the crowd to get this movie. I hadn't heard of it until he was telling me about it last night.

I picked up the movie at BJ's it was 17.99 for the 2 disc DVD, at Wal-mart it was 17.00 for the 1 disc DVD. i haven't had the chance to watch it yet. But while I was in the check out line they are in the process of making the next movie. I just hope the movies are are as good as the books. some times they change them too much. All I know is that My 14 years old has her room plastered with posters of Twilight. My parents who are in their 70s are even reading the books and enjoying them.

I found the Twilight movie at Target (3 disc too.... which included a free download of the movie for itunes) for $17.99.

A bunch of friends switched from Amazon to Walmart, then to Target b/c of the 3-disc.

New Moon is coming out this November, followed by Eclipse next July (or June?!!) Yay!

I watched Twilight last night. It is a good movie, but now I know what my daughter meant when she said that you need to read the book first before you see the movie.

The movie in my opinion is a little disappointing compared to the book... and I'm kinda sad that they are bringing the movies so quickly because I want to see how well this director does on New Moon as I didn't care for the director of Twilight and if he does a good job on New Moon, I would love to see what he'd do with Eclipse. But I heard that he can't do Eclipse as he won't be finished with New Moon when they go to start working on Eclipse.

I think they have to move fast (like Harry Potter) b/c of the ages of the actors?? I dunno.... just a thought.

and yes, the book is WAY better than the movie! I personally liked Eclipse way better than New Moon. A book w/o Edward in it much wasn't much to read for me. Sad

either actor's ages or trying to get all the movies out before the craze dies down... its just super fast.
I hated New Moon the first time around because I just wanted Edward back and it probably took me the most time to get through it because i would get frustrated with it and set it down. Although I've just about finished rereading it and its going a lot faster. I am really hoping the New Moon is better as a movie then what Twilight was.

I am almost embarrased to say this but I bought the first book last Sat evening...had it finished by about 4 am. Made it through the whole next day before borrowing book 2 from a neighbor....finished that one by midnight! She told me she was reading #3 so I had to wait till she was finished. Well hit the library Wed and the last two books were actually available and I finished the last one thursday night.

Then I found the first 1/2 of Midnightsun on Stephanie Meyers website and read that too.

I really thought that Midnightsun was AWESOME and so disappointed she is putting off work on it. I really liked it best of all of them.

Aww... don't be embarrassed! that's how I was too! I didn't get into Twilight until summer last year, and that was before Breaking Dawn was out. I had the 3 books read over a week, and that was me going out to buy the next book every two days. Embarassed Then when Breaking Dawn came out, it took me a day and a half to read that.

I let my friend borrow all 4 books, and her husband told me "man, I'm glad she's done reading all the books, now I can have my wife back". LOL

I finally watched the movie too...it was good but I dont think I would like it as much if I hadnt read the book and Midnightsun first. There is just so much info left out that I thought was needed to understand it better.

You really would think that I would have read this stuff earlier as parts of the movie were filmed about 7 miles from my house (in St. Helens, OR).

Re: Twilight

Post by agaphmou on Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:00 am

Hi everyone,
I saw twilight so I had to see what this conversation was all about.I didn't even know about twilight until a couple of days before the movie came out in theaters. My 13 yr old niece asked me to take her and her friends on opening day.She told me it's a great movie, that she had read all the books, and she was worried that the tickets might get sold out.So there I went,to the movie theater at 11 pm the night before to buy the tickets in advance. I was pleasantly surprised when my niece told me that it was about vampires as I am a horror movie freak, and my niece is following in aunties footsteps in every way lol.Anyway, although there wasn't much blood and gore I really enjoyed the movie and I can't wait to see the next. After reading all your posts I might have to borrow the books to read while waiting for the movie to come out. Smile
