I am about 4 chapters into Lose It For Life . I really like it so far. Its a book about lifestyle changes as opposed to dieting. And it has a Christian foundation to it. A different approach, that's for sure.

Books right now
I just finished the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. If you have not read it, in my opinion it is his best work ever. I also just finishes Black House by King and Staub which has a ton of Dark Tower references. Kind of nerdy I know but I really liked it.
The other series I am reading is the Anne Rice Chronicles of the Vampire. I just finished Interview with the Vampire and am now on The Vampire Lestat. This one is shaping up to be better than the first book.

I've wanted to read all of those! I'm a super nerd. I'm watching star trek on a different tab right now, LOL. I had to pause it because my son had to get up and he's never seen these older ones. Now he's hooked.

I've read all those, excellent books. The first "real" book I read was the tommyknockers, I was 8 and it took me two weeks of hiding it from my mother, lol. I really enjoyed Black House but Anne Rice is my favorite, I love all her book but the witch ones are the best IMO.

Jodi Picoult takes situations in life and talks about it in a novel way. Kind of like "My sister's Keeper". It's a story about a girl who was created specifically in mind for her sister, who has cancer (leukemia). She basically is the link to keep her sister alive. Well, she's tired of it... it's her body. She gets a lawyer to help defend her & her body so that she doesn't get subjected to all the pain, etc for her sister to live.
It's those kind of stories, the ones that tug at your heart, but she spins it in a way that you just are so captivated during the entire read. I've read about 5 or 6 of her novels so far... amazing!
